Artificial Turf
Acceptance of synthetic turf surfaces is strongly increasing. Unlike natural grass, synthetic turf offers high durability under intensive use, stable turf characteristics during all weather conditions and low maintenance costs.
Lenzing Plastics manufactures high-quality multiple yarns, dual yarns as well as combi yarns made of polyethylene or polypropylene. The LenzingGrass brand offers a complete product range. In addition to straight artificial turf yarn, we are able to produce texturised yarn grades which provide the surface with a real, natural look due to the curled effect.
Cable Industry
We offer a comprehensive range of films, tapes and laminates which virtually covers the complete field of cable production.
The products range from the classic telephone cable, low and medium voltage, to data and special cables (e.g. aircraft, microwave, thermocouple). Typical applications are separating and binding foils, cushioning foils, marking tapes and shielding laminates.
Packaging
The mono-axial stretching of films is the main field of Lenzing Plastics. Due to specially developed production technologies, MOPP films (mono-axially oriented polypropylene) with their specific properties are an ideal raw material for tear tapes, silicon-coated films, adhesive tapes, carry handles and many other products.
By specializing on each application we can guarantee maximum flexibility, an ideal adaptation to market requirements as well as excellent processability and also punctual deliveries.
In addition to manufacturing functional films, the MOPP technology is also very suitable for producing appealing film products. More than 30 color shades offer a great diversity of aesthetic designs.
Apart from the standard applications of tags and labels, these foamed polypropylene films are particularly suited for further processing into gift-wrapping tapes, decorative stars and bows, as well as a variety of metallised and tinsel films. Of course all our products are manufactured to our very high quality standards. We produce on our self-developed production systems which are based on the most modern technologies.
Barrier Laminates
The laminates consist of PET, aluminium, PE, OPA and other films and they comply with the most diverse packing standards. As well as the Defense Standards, declarations of conformance to food contact regulations -issued by e.g. USA (FDA) and EU, can also be supplied. In this way, the laminates contribute towards a lasting protection of the packaged goods.
No matter if there are manual or automatic bag making requirements or a form fill and seal machine is being used, Lenzing Plastics has the appropriate quality of laminated film for your application.
Lenzing Plastics make laminates using both adhesive and extrusion production techniques, in order to satisfy these promises and live up to its prominent name.
Special Fabrics
We are currently producing special fabrics for different applications, from greenhouse market gardening to the car industry. Lenzing Plastics is internationally renowned for representing quality and resourceful innovation as a supplier of semi-finished-materials which are used for the production of woven or knitted fabrics (e.g. interior design textiles, protective nets).
We are fully integrated so that an in-house production of the required products is guaranteed – covering semi-finished-materials such as films, tapes and laminates, as well as uncoated and coated fabrics. At the beginning of the development process, it is possible to produce test samples within a short space of time for our customers in the pilot-plant of our development department. These samples indicate the potential of new products and show whether the production process is already feasible or not.
Roof Underlinings
The roof underlinings are made of 1 or 2 ply non-woven, with or without reinforcements made of fabrics or scrims and a PE-, PP-, or modified PE-coating. Our vapour-permeable products are either produced with TPE-E (monolithic membrane) or are coated with a micro-porous membrane.
This monolithic membrane, a special product of Lenzing Plastics, convinces through its non-micro-porous structure without any imperfections, allowing high vapour permeability and being waterproof at the same time.
Insulation Facings
We manufacture innovative products for the building industry: fabrics and laminates made of polyethylene, polypropylene, aluminum or polyester. They are used for bonding insulating materials for thermal and acoustic applications – for example, piping, ventilation ducts or floor heating systems.
Application-specific developments are one of the assets of Lenzing Plastics. Together with our customers, we work out innovative solutions for new, sometimes unique products. Our pilot plant with state-of-the-art equipment helps us to produce samples for initial testing quickly. The customer-specific requirements such as flame resistance, sealing temperature, sealing bond stability, color shades, etc., are made possible by our know-how and unique capabilities.
Automotive
We develop and produce aluminium and plastic laminates on rolls for the following applications:
