Polyurethane materials have been used for many years for coating cylinders. The material has high abrasion resistance and tear-propagation strength, and is resistant to solvents, glues, petrol, oils, paints and fats. It is for these reasons and many others that more and more cylinders are being coated with polyurethane. Cylinder coatings can be supplied in degrees of hardness from 20° Shore A to 70° Shore D, depending on the method of manufacture. Internorm can produce sandwich systems with a soft core and harder outer skin, and profiled cylinders with spherical or conical grinding just as easily as simple cylindrical designs |
