EPDM (Rubber) Cylinders: Ethylene-propylene-diene rubber has similar properties to NBR; the wear resistance and ultimate strength are lower, but EPDM has a better chemical resistance. The material is also known as ethylene-propylene rubber (EPM).
NBR (Perbunan) Cylinders: Nitrile-butadiene rubber is a copolymerisation product of acrylonitrile and butadiene. It resists swelling in the presence of oils, greases and fuels.
Sponge Rubber Cylinders, Rollers with a Sponge Rubber Coating: are recommended by Internorm, with porosity grades from 1 to 3, for special applications where soft rollers are necessary, e.g. stripping and painting of timber mouldings, boards, etc. The woodworking industry provides countless applications for such products. |
